Software Updates
Important: The following updates are for Windows 7 users and Macs running MacOS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard). The updates will NOT effect the contents of your EdGCM database. EdGCM is not yet compatible with MacOS X Lion (10.7). A major rewrite of the software suite is underway and will include Lion compatibility and improved speed for the NASA GCM.
Support for Windows 7
EdGCM now supports Windows 7 with the update of the EVA visualization software. Just follow these steps:
Make sure you are using the most recent version of EdGCM – 3.2 b926
Download the update to the EVA software (see link below).
Download the update to EdGCM.4DB (see link below).
Place the EVA update in the Program Files\EVA folder on your computer, overwriting the old version.

Support for Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard)
EdGCM now supports Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) with the following update to the EdGCM 4D structure file. To update your current copy of EdGCM for Mac do the following:
Make sure you are using the most recent version of EdGCM – 3.2 b926
Download the update to EdGCM.4DB (see link below) and unzip the file.
If it does not already exist, create an empty folder named “eJournals” inside the EdGCM/Applications folder.
Place the unzipped EdGCM.4DB file in the folder EdGCM/Database, making sure to overwrite the previous version.
